Etwas altes, etwas neues und etwas aufgearbeitetes. Mit der Hilfe Anleitung von Ricarda Engelsberger von Mein Wunderbarer Hutsalon habe ich einen Trachtenhut in eine 1950ger Hutcreation verwandeln dürfen.

It is late October and the Munich Oktoberfest is over. Lots of local ones are still on. this year there is no Octoberfest for me. But there is always next year. Still I got a Dirndl-Look for you and so have some of my readers. Es ist spät im Oktober und das Münchener Oktoberfest lange vorbei. Viele kleinere finden noch an allerlei Orten statt. Last one in the row and to round off the selection is Sar HA. Hers is a sweet and very down to earth dirndl. A real country dress, that wouldn’t look out of place on a meadow. Note to self – get one of those eventually, too. Zum Schluss und um die Auswahl abzurunden kommt Sar HA. Ihres ist ein süsses und bodenständiges Dirndl. Ein echtes Landkleid, dass auch auf eine Wiese passt. Notiz an mich selber – ich will auch so eines.

Ein gutes Dirndl ist selbst gebraucht nicht (mehr) ganz preiswert. Schön finde ich die Billigdirndl von KIK und Co nicht. Auch zu Karneval nicht. Was aber tun? Letztes Jahr habe ich „es muss nicht immer Dirndl sein“ gepostet. A good Dirndl doesn’t come cheap (anymore).Not even a used one. I don’t like the cheap ones you get on eBay and other places. Not even for carnival. So what’s a girl to do? I posted last year some suggestions in German.
Der heutige Look geht auch in die Richtung. Feiern ohne Dirndl geht. Egal ob Oktoberfest oder zum Volksfest. Das Kleid ist wie ein Großteil meiner Sachen von LindyBop. Karos sind etwas rustikal und gehen eigentlich immer. Today’s look is another take on that. Party without a dirndl at Oktoberfest or similar festivities. The dress is like a majority of my dresses from LindyBop. Checks are always a good idea and very versatile. A bit rustic.
Kombiniert mit einem preiswerten Blumenkranz von Claire’s, einer kurzen Strickjacke, meiner Alpen Swatch und einer Gobelin-Tasche aus den 1960gern. Kirmes ist drin – solange es nicht auf die Geräte mit Überschlag und andere Kotzmühlchen geht. Zumindest dort wo zwischen den Beinen nicht gesichert werden muss. Combined with a flower headband by Claire’s, a short cardi, my alpine Swatch and a 60s tapestry bag. Fun at the fair guaranteed – as long as you stay clear of the newer kind of vomit comets that need to be secured between the legs.

When I was a child I loved a good dirndl. When I was four or five we stayed on a holiday flat on a farm. There I was given (or rescued) a dirndl ready to be turned into rags. I didn’t know the word authenticity yet. But I liked the realness of it. That it wasn’t some touristy stuff. Als Kind liebte ich ein gutes Dirndl. Also ich vier oder fünf war haben wir in Ferien auf einem Bauernhof gemacht. Dort bekam ich (oder habe es vielleicht gerettet) ein altes Dirndl, das schon mehrfach aufgetragen war und eigentlich zu Stofflappen gemacht werden sollte. Das Wort Authentizität kannte ich damals noch nicht. Aber ich fand es echt. Das war kein Tourischeiß.
Fast forward more than 20 years. When I lived in Manchester I fell in love again with this kind of dress. I wanted a vintage one. This is dirndl no.4. Bought two years ago. On eBay. First worn to an awful local Oktoberfest. Wir überspringen jetzt mehr als 20 Jahre. Als ich in Manchester lebte, habe ich wieder die Qualitäten eines Dirndls erkannt. Ich wollte auch eins. Ein Dirndl aus den späten 1960gern. Das hier ist mittlerweile Dirndl Nummer 4. Gekauft von etwa 2 Jahren. Auf eBay. Das erste Mal hatte ich es auf einem ganz schrecklichen Oktoberfest vor Ort an.
This year I guess there will be no Oktoberfest for me. So I’ll wear it to the office and wherever. Dieses Jahr gibt es wahrscheinlich kein Oktoberfest für mich. Weder in München noch sonstwo. Also werde ich es ins Büro tragen und wo auch immer.

Mein Jahr bei DIY your Closet hat ein würdiges Finale gefunden – den Hutworkshop Shape up your Hat! der inspirierenden Ricarda von Mein wunderbarer Hutsalon aus Wuppertal. Aus einem alten Trachtenhut habe ich unter sachkundiger Anleitung für meine Oktoberfest Craze Reihe einen rasanten Cocktailhut im Stil der 1950ger Jahre gemacht.
Ricarda Engelsberger habe ich im Juni beim Ladies Day – dem Pferderennen mit Hutwettbewerb des traditionsreichen Krefelder Rennclubs kennengelernt. Knapp zwei Monate später hat sie mich zu diesem Workshop eingeladen. Letztes Wochenende fand dann eine eins zu eins Betreuung statt. Das ist kein Sonderfall. In ihrem Atelier ist die Teilnahme von vorneherein auf zwei bis drei Personen begrenzt.
I met Ricarda Engelsberger in June at Ladies Day – the horse racing day with a hat competition of the prestigious Krefeld jockey club. About two month later she invited me to this Workshop. Last week we finally met and it was a one on one supervision. For her not that exeptional as the event is limited to two to three participants anyway.

Für Ricarda Engelsberger ist das Hütemachen kein Hobby. Die Modistin hat ihr Handwerk von der Pike auf gelernt, inklusive Meistertitel. Sie fertigt Modellhüte und Kleinserien seit ca. 1998. Das Atelier ist in Wuppertal am Arrenberg, einem Gründerzeitquartier. Dort bringt Ricarda sich auch mit ihrem Atelier beim Verein Aufbruch am Arrenberg ein. Einige von Euch kennen Ricarda Engelsberger oder zumindest ihre Kreationen aus dem Vintage Flaneur.
For Ricarda Engelsberger hat making isn’t a hobby. It is a craft she learned from the ropes, including the hard earned title of a master milliner from the german Chamber of Crafts. Sheproduces model hats and mini series since 1998. Her workshop is in Wuppertal, a historic district called Arrenberg. Here she is also active in the local community to enhance the quarter. Some of you will know Ricarda Engelsberger or her creations from the German magazineVintage Flaneur.
Wenn man schon in Wuppertal ist… Sehr cool – nach ewigen Zeiten mal wieder Schwebebahn gefahren. Fun Fact: Ricarda und ich haben festgestellt dass wir ca. 3 Jahre in den 1990gern Nachbarn in Ober-Barmen waren. Wir haben Tür an Tür gewohnt. Die Welt ist ein Dorf! If in Wuppertal… quite cool to take thesuspension railwayagain. Fun fact: we realised that Ricarda and I were neighbours for about 3 years back in the 1990s in another part of town. We lived door to door. The world truly is a small place!
Ricardas Atelier ist klein aber fein. Alles drin was man braucht. Gut und übersichtlich sortiert und trotzdem mit einem liebevollen Händchen ausgestattet. Ricarda’s work space is small but neat. Everything to work properly. Well sorted and still with a loving touch to details.

Wir haben erst noch kurz einen Hut, den ich bei Oma Klara gekauft habe aufgearbeitet. Leider wurde der Hut beim Versand gefaltet! Da wird ein Teil ein Leben lang in Ehren gehalten und kommt verbeult an um Porto zu sparen. Traurig. Die Blüten waren auch flacher als jeder Pfannkuchen. Jetzt strahlt er dank Ricarda wieder!
We first spruced up a hat I bought at Oma Klara. Sadly the hat was folded for shipping. Not a way to treat a hat that was kept for good for a lifetime. Ricarda managed to make it shine again and fluffed up the flowers that were flatter as pancakes.

Also als erstes haben wir uns mal meine Vorlage angeschaut und ich habe Ricarda erklärt was damit prinzipiell passieren soll. First we had a look at my old hat and I explained what I’d like to turn it into.
Ausgangsmodell: biederer Trachtenhut. Bei eBay wegen der Federn erworben. Zu klein. Before: traditional German „country“ hat. Bought on eBay because of the feather pad. Too small to fit my head.

Kaum wiederzuerkennen! Auf dem Modell. Die Federn liegen eng an und gehen etwas in die Stirn. Da ich fast immer nur sehr diskreten Ohrschmuck trage wird es keinen Konflikt an den überhängenden Enden der Kordel geben. Hardly recognizable! On the model. Die feather pad is kept close to the base and arch a little into the forehead. I usually wear discreet earrings, so there will be no conflict with the overhanging trimming.
Und jetzt angezogen! Ein Traum. Ricarda und ich waren sehr begeistert. And now worn. Fits like a dream. Ricarda and I were very excited about the result.

So you’d like to go to Oktoberfest but a classic Dirndl is too expensive and the cheap ones too much like a Halloween costume? There are ways to create that look without the full commitment. Either in a cheerful or with a darker note. Another easy way to do it is pick a dress and wear it with an apron. Like Gemma from Retrochick last year in Munich. Was tun wenn ein Oktoberfest-Besuch ansteht und ein klassisches Dirndl zu teuer ist aber die preiswerten zu sehr nach Karneval aussehen? Es gibt Wege diesen Look zu erzielen ohne direkt aufs Ganze zu gehen. Egal ob in heller oder dunkler. Ein anderer Ansatz ist es ein passendes Kleid auszusuchen und das mit einer Schürze zu tragen. Wie Gemma von Retrochick das letztes Jahr in München gezeigt hat.
Although quite often in the past (and not just the 1950s) women also wore scarfs as aprons. And that is what I did for this outfit. A pretty tartan dress from Hell Bunny with a sweet heart neckline. Combined with a modern oblong scarf, not a square in a traditional folklore pattern. In der Vergangenheit (und damit meine ich nicht unbedingt die 50ger Jahre) haben Frauen Tücher auch als Schürzen getragen. Und das habe ich mit diesem Outfit getan. Das Tartan-Kleid mit seinem Herzausschnitt ist von HellBunny. Kombiniert habe ich es mit einem Schal in einem klassischen Folkloremuster und nicht mit einem traditionellem, quadratischen Tuch.
The flower wreath or headband emphazises the traditional look. Make sure you get a nice one. Like the one I got from Tate Milinery. The garish ones will remind a lot of people of the ceremonial driving down of cattle from the mountain pastures into the valley in autumn. And you don’t want that. Or maybe you do? Es ist wieder einmal der zweite Sonntag im Monat und damit auch wieder Zeit für DIY your Closet. Da bald in München (und an allen möglichen andern Orten) das Oktoberfest wieder losgeht, habe ich meine eigene „Okotberfest Craze“ Reihe um einen selbstgemachten Fascinator ergänzt. Since I love a bit of kitsch, I added a new fascinator to my lot and a new post to my Oktoberfest Craze series.
Beim Kürzen meines Hell Bunny Hermeline Rocks ist genug Stoff übrig geblieben um mir einen Fascinator zu machen. Eigentlich genug um noch einen zweiten für das liebe Vintagemädchen zu machen – aber im Moment bin ich noch hoch ansteckend und lasse da lieber meine Finger von. Wobei die Finger nicht wirklich das Problem sind. Ich mache meine Fascinator gerne bei längeren Zugfahrten. Da hat man was sinnvolles zu tun und kommt nicht weg. When my Hell Bunny Hermeline skirt got shortened there was a little bit of material left to make another fascinator for me. Well, not only for me but also for the charming Vintagemädchen. Since I am currently rather contagious she’ll have to wait a little for hers though.I like to mak emy fascinators on longer train rides. Anyway – ich habe mir unglücklicherweise einen Keuchhusten gefangen. Der wurde auch erst nach vier Wochen als solcher erkannt. Das war eine bedauerliche Verkettung von am falschen Ort und zweimal Vertretungsarzt. Also – lasst Euch impfen, denn das ist gerade äusserst unerfreulich. Langsam, sehr langsam geht es wieder etwas besser – solange ich nichts mache. Unfortunately I managed to get myself a whooping cough. My pertussis was unrecognized due to being in the wrong location and a substitution to my regular doctor. Long story short – vaccination would have helped. So do the smart thing and get it. Am slowly – very slowly on the mend and ok-ish – as long as don’t do anything.

I probably grew up watching the wrong films. I grew up in the casual 70s but on 1950s films. The ones I remember and enjoyed the most were films with Doris day or Marilyn Monroe. Always dressed to the nines and a new outfit in every new scene, or at least that’s the way it felt. And the ladies wore hats. Half hats, cocktail hats, turbans, toques, pillboxes, bandeau or headband hats, berets or other headpieces. We’d probably label some today as fascinators. That set my standards.
Wahrscheinlich habe ich als Kind einfach nur die falschen Filme gesehen. Ich bin in den zwanglosen 70gern aufgewachsen, aber mit Filmen aus den 1959gern. Die, an die ich mich am besten erinnere und am meisten mochte, waren die mit Doris Day oder Marylin Monroe. Immer perfekt gestylt und gefühlt ein neues Outfit in jeder Szene. Und die Damen trugen Hüte. Cocktailhüte, Turbane, Juliakäppchen, Baretts und andere Kopfbedeckungen. Einige davon würden wir heute als Fascinator bezeichnen. Wie auch immer, das war prägend.
Not only did these films set the spark first to collect hats but secondly to make my own fascinators. These a the ones I made for me in 2015. I prefer to use sinamay bases which I cover in fabric. So far I don’t decorate them with lots of things.
Diese Filme haben nicht nur den Wunsch geweckt Hüte zu sammeln, sondern auch meine eigenen zu machen. Das hier sind die, die ich 2015 gemacht habe. Dabei ist die Basis fast immer aus Sinamay und dann mit Stoff überzogen.
I love the furry ones. They are reclaimed fur from vintage 1950s or 60s caps or hats – too small, too dowdy and they get a new, a second life as a flirty fascinator. One of the very few (sustainable) ways to wear real fur. Meine spezielle Liebe gilt meinen Pelzhütchen. Fast immer sind sie aus alten Pelzkappen aus den 1950gern oder 60ger Jahren. Die Kappen bekommen ein neues Leben, meist waren sie zu klein, zu altbacken. Ihr zweites Leben ist wesentlich verspielter um nicht zu sagen kokett. Für mich der nachhaltigste Weg echten Pelz zu tragen.
The feathers hackles are vintage too. I got them for silly money on my favourite flea market. As much as I like the grey one, I wonder if the colour contrast with the backside of the tweed in combination with the feathers is too much. The tartan is from a former colleague of mine. Nice quality and vintage material but cut into triangles. Den Federschmuck für diese beiden Hütchen habe ich zu einem Spottpreis auf meinem Lieblingsflohmarkt gefunden. Beide sind vintage. Manchmal frage ich mich ob der Farbkontrast mit der Rückseite des Tweeds zu hart ist. Der Karostoff ist von einer ehemaligen Arbeitskollegin. Eine schöne, alte Qualität, aber der Stoff ist in Dreiecke geschnitten.
The grey one is my Christmas fascinator. Not too much over the top and only a bit of kitsch. But paired with my Bernie Dexter Winterwonderland dress it is. But in a good way. The colours are neutral and got along well with most of my Christmas outfits. I have worn it quite a bit before and around Christmas. At least six times and I wasn’t that social this year as I had my gall bladder removed at the beginning of December. The sparkling one is the fascinator I wore for New Years Eve. It was a top from H&M, not only a tad small at the arms and neck but also itchy as hell for moi. Der graue ist mein Weihnachtsfascinator. Nicht zuviel und nur moderat kitschig. Kombiniert mit meinem Bernie-Dexter-Winterwonderland-Kleid ist es das schon. Aber auf eine gute Art. Die Farben sind neutral und passen zu den meisten meiner Weihnachtsoutfits. Ich habe ihn gerne und viel vpr und um Weihnachten herum getragen. Mindestens sechs Mal, da ich dieses Jahr nicht soviel unterwegs war und ich meine Gallenblase Anfang Dezember entfernt bekommen musste. Den glitzernden Fascinator hatte ich zu Silvester getragen. Eigentlich war das ein Top von H+M, nicht nur etwas zu schmal an den Ärmeln und am Hals sondern auch wahnsinnig kratzend.
The green velvet one was made for this Hell Bunny skirt and because I fell in love with the little toadstools. Usually I assemble the fascinators loosely and take a pic of them. Helps me to remember what I want to combine. Helps me also to to assess if they become an asset to my wardrobe or not. In the end I decided against the bow and went for a kitsch little souvenir brooch from the 50s. Den grünen Samtfascinator habe ich für diesen Hell Bunny Rock gemacht und weil mir die kleinen Fliegenpilze so gut gefallen haben. Meistens drapiere ich meine Hütchen vorher locker zusammen und mache ein Bild davon. Das hilft mir später mich daran zu erinnern wie der später aussehen soll. Am Ende habe ich mich dann gegen die Schleife entschieden und eine kleine Andenkenbrosche aus den 50ger benutzt.
The first ones I made last year were the two cherry ones. Both are made out of the material left over from the shortened hem of my cherry dress. Most of my dresses get altered and sometimes there is enough fabric left to do seomthing with it. Die ersten beiden Hütchen, die ich letzes Jahr gemacht habe sind diese beiden mit dem Kirschmotiv. Beide sind aus dem Stoff, der vom Einkürzen des Saumes meines Kirschkleides übrig blieb. Die meisten meiner Sachen müssen erst mal in die Änderung, manchmal bleibt genug Stoff übrig noch etwas damit zu machen.
It is Mid October and my very own Oktoberfest was last weekend. It was Bochum’s first and for our group also our last. The tent was on the small side. A different layout than shown on the booking site. The aisles were on the whole too narrow for the staff. Professionally I deal with fire prevention and escape routes literally only on the outside, but I didn’t feel comfortable. We sat too close to over steering speakers. The music wasn’t Bavarian but party. And party they did in a way I only know in the small hours from carnival. The food was ok, but no roasts. The price for a Maß (1litre) was below 9 EUR. Still it took a while to get our second round.
Before yesterday I was a stern defender of local beerfests in Bavarian Style. The one in Xanten was always great. A tent like the ones in Munich. The music proper Bavarian, ok – so they played a few carnival songs later in the evening. The food was roasts galore, hearty, lots and good. We were out of that tent in Bochum in less than two hours. By that time already two benches with people dancing on them tipped over. However, next year we will return – to Xanten. We booked our tickets the day after.

This is dirndl No.4. My first dirndl is this one. Then I got myself a black woolly one. The third is sadly without any pics. Dirndl No.4 is like the rest vintage. They date somewhere from the 60s (No.2) to the 80s, possibly early 90s (No.1). Not a big fan of dirndl blouses, I usually wear a shirt underneath. I don’t feel comfortable in the classic dirndl blouses, too much exposed cleavage for my taste. Since tugging is never sexy I rather wear something less revealing. The red trims at dirndl No.4 are new. I also wanted to sew an apron but time prevented that. Was only able to pick up the dress two hours before from the tailor, who let out the bodice, shortened the hem and put the red trimming on in less than three days.
The necklace is vintage and a dainty little thing from the 1950s which I got a few years ago on eBay. The fascinator is hand- and self-made. Though I bought the feather pad at my local flea market in Bochum, together with a second one, both vintage – who would have thought. The tartan is also vintage, some leftovers from a former colleague. Excellent quality. The brooches’ fastening is broken, but sewn on it neither matters nor shows. Instead of an apron I wear a gathered square scarf. It comes in handy on the way home. Though the sun is still warm the evenings already get rather nippy.

Oktoberfest Craze – Dirndl No.4
Es ist Mitte Oktober und letztes Wochenende war mein eignes Oktoberfest. Es war Bochums erstes und für unsere Gruppe auch gleichzeitig unser letztes. Das Zelt war recht klein. Anders bestuhlt und geschnitten als bei der Buchung. Viele Gänge selbst zu schmal fürs Personal. Beruflich betrifft mich Brandschutz nur von außen, aber wohlgefühlt hatte ich mich nicht. Wir saßen zu nah an den übersteuerten Lautsprechern. Die Musik war nicht bayrisch sondern Party. Und Partystimmung gab es sobald die Band spielte in einem Ausmaß, das ich so eher aus den Morgenstunden im Karneval kenne. Der Preis für eine Maß lag bei unter 9€. Allerdings dauerte es etwas bis wir unsere zweite Runde bekamen, bzw. ordern konnten.
Vor gestern war ich eine eifrige Verfechterin lokaler Bierfeste im bayrischen Stil. Xanten war immer großartig. Ein Zelt wie in München. Zünftige bayrische Blasmusik. Ok, dann hat die Kapelle halt zum vorgerückterem Zeitpunkt auch ein paar Karnevalslieder gespielt. Es gab Haxen, Gebratenes, deftig, reichlich und gut. Am Wochenende waren wir schon nach zwei Stunden weder aus dem Zelt raus. Zu dem Zeitpunkt waren schon zwei Bierbänke mit tanzenden Besuchern umgekippt. Natürlich gehen wir nächstes Jahr wieder zum Oktoberfest – nach Xanten. Die Tickets dafür hatten wir am nächsten Tag gebucht.
Dies ist Dirndl Nr.4. Mein erstes ist das hier. Dann habe ich mir das schwarze aus dicker Schurwolle geholt. Das Dritte ist leider ohne Bilder. Nr.4 ist wie die anderen Dirndl Vintage. Sie sind aus den 60ger bis 80ger Jahren, vielleicht ist das erste auch aus den frühen 90gern. Ich mag Dirndlblusen an mir nicht sonderlich. Meistens trage ich ein Hemd drunter. In der klassischen Dirndlbluse zeige ich für meinen Geschmack zu viel Dekolleté. Da Zubbeln nicht sexy ist, trage ich lieber etwas hochgeschlosseneres in dem ich mich wohlfühle. Der rote Besatz am Saum ist auch neu. Eigentlich wollte ich „mal eben“ noch eine Schürze nähen, aber die Nähmaschine war in der Kürze der Zeit unkoperativ. Das Dirndl hatte ich nur zwei Stunden vorher vom Schneider abgeholt. In weniger als drei Tagen hat er es gekürzt, die Borten angenäht und am wichtigsten: das Oberteil herausgelassen.
Die Kette ist alt und ein zierliches kleines Ding aus den 1950gern, das ich vor einigen Jahren (2009?) bei eBay gefunden habe. Der Faszinator ist nicht nur hand- sondern selbstgemacht. Den Federschmuck habe ich zusammen mit einem zweiten vor Ort auf dem Flohmarkt gekauft. Auch der Schottenkaro ist alt, den hatte eine ehemalige Arbeitskollegin übrig. Hervorragende Qualität. Der Verschluss der hübschen alten Brosche ist leider kaputt, das macht auf dem\ Hütchen aber nichts aus. Anstelle einer Schürze trage ich ein gerafftes Tuch. Das leistet auf dem Heimweg gute Dienste, auch wenn die Sonne noch warm ist, werden die Abende schon recht kühl.
For me the Oktoberfest marks the beginning of Autumn and the autumnal fairs. Still pretty big events in most places I know. I work in Krefeld where they have the Sprödentalkirmes. As fairs go it is nice and family oriented. You get the lotteries, duck fishing, plenty of rides for all ages and adrenalin levels, cotton candy and toffee apples. Being afraid of heights Miss Kittenheel gets more value for money on the wheel. By the end of the evening I was (as should be) dizzy from the rides and almost sick from the fish (with a bread roll, not with chips and tartar sauce), the ananas in white chocolate and my fair share of toasted almonds. A fun evening with the other godchildren.
The outfit is a bit country or updated Trachten. I wore this dress in Berlin, at the Curvy and have worn it with different accessories to meetings on hot summer days. The red and white dogtooth is quite versatile. The cardi is from Modcloth and you might have seen it in a Christmas context here. The shoes are still quite new and been featured here for the ‚Oktoberfest Craze‘. The brooch was a presie from my best friend’s husband who got one like these for all the ladies of our group at last years Oktoberfest in Xanten. The scarf has a pretty print with old fashioned cabbage roses. And a beret keeps your head warm. Got them in quite a few colours. More important than a stylish bag is having your hands free at the fair and the new cowhide clutch was a bit too small to fit the brolley in.
Für mich ist das Oktoberfest immer der eigentliche Herbstanfang und dami der Beginn der vielen Herbstkirmesse. Immer noch echt große Veranstaltungen an den meisten Orten, die ich kenne. In Krefeld, wo ich arbeite, ist das die Sprödentalkirmes. Keine riesige Kirmes, aber groß genug und familiär. Es gibt die üblichen Verdächtigen: die Losbuden, Entenangeln, Fahrgeschäfte für alle Altersgruppen und Adrenalinbedarf, Zuckerwatte und Paradiesäpfel. Da Miss Kittenheel Höhenangst hat, bekam sie mehr fürs Geld auf dem Riesenrad. Am Ende des Abends war mir, so wie es sein soll, etwas schwindelig von den Kotzmühlchen und latent schlecht von dem Mix aus Backfisch, weißer Schoko-Ananas und gebrannten Mandeln. Es war ein gelungener Abend mit den (anderen) Patenkindern.
Dieses Outfit ist etwas ländlich angehaucht, mein Ansatz Tracht zu entstauben. Das Kleid hatte ich schon in Berlin zur Curvy an und zu einigen Besprechungen im Hochsommer. Der rot-weiße Hahnentritt ist vielseitig kombinierbar. Die kurze Strickjacke von ModCloth gab es letztes Jahr schon vor Weihnachten zu bewundern. Die Schuhe sind neu, wurden aber auch schon im Rahmen von „Oktoberfest Craze“gezeigt. Die Brosche ist ein Geschenk. Der Mann meiner besten Freundin hatte die für uns Damen beim letzten Oktoberfest in Xanten gekauft. Der Schal hat ein schönes Muster mit alten Cottage-, bzw. Kohlrosen. Naja, und das Barett hält den Kopf warm. Wichtiger als eine stylische Handtasche ist es mir auf der Kirmes die Hände freizuhalten. Die neue Kuhfellclutch war etwas zu klein für den Knirps und musste zuhause bleiben.
