Still waiting for my new dirndl. Got a can of sausages in the fridge as well as sweet mustard und already three dirndls in my closet. Love them. There will be full pics of my interpretation of traditional style. With more than just a pinch of salt and quirky touches. I loved them as a kid. The „bestest“ ever was one I got from the farmers where we stayed during our holidays when I was five.

Anyway,when I started with my first dirndl as a grown up I bought a traditional blouse. Somehow that wasn’t my cup of tea. It was too low cut for my taste. So I paired the dirndl with regular shirts and blouses. So much better on me. So much more me. So here are a few pics from recent years of my bestie, my partner in crime and me.

This is from 2010. Both dirndl are vintage. Instead of an apron I wear a slim scarf from Dorothy Perkins. We both wear plastic Bambi necklaces.

2013, Oktoberfest in Xanten – a bit blurry. Got myself a new vintage dirndl. Pure wool with small embroidery. I paired it with a polka dot blouse from H&M  from 2004/2005. The necklace is vintage inspired and the fascinator from House of Fraser. A felt leaf with netting. My bestie got herself another dirndl blouse and a cute gingerbread brooch.

2014, once more Xanten. My bestie looks most fetching in that cheerful blue dirndl. Due to her petite frame her felt hat fascinator doesn’t look lost. I am wearing my purple dirndl again. Now in my style with a stripey shirt. To round off the look I wear a tartan Alice band with purple pansies. Put up a bit of weight too, since the first pic.

And now for something completely different: do you like the dachshund plates? That would be fun with pretzels, Bavarian sausages or „German sushi“ (bread roll halves spread with special raw minced pork, has to be seriously fresh though, topped with raw onion rings, seasoned with salt and pepper).

My Dirndl were purchased on eBay, the purple in 2009, the Black one 2012.

Ich warte immer noch auf mein neues Dirndl. Habe eine Dose Weißwürste im Kühlschrank, daneben süßen Senf. Und schon drei Dirndl im Schrank. Ich liebe sie. Demnächst gibt es auch einige Bilder von meinem Trachtensstil. Mit etwas mehr als nur einem Augenzwinkern. Als Kind fand ich schon toll. Das beste was ich je hatte bekam ich von den Bauern geschenkt bei dem wir eine Ferienwohnung vermietet hatte. Da war ich fünf.

Wie auch immer, als ich mein erstes Dirndl als Erwachsener gekauft hatte,  habe ich dazu eine traditionelle Dirndl Bluse gekauft. Das war so gar nicht meins. Es war zu tief ausgeschnitten. Also habe ich das Dirndl mit regulären Hemden und Blusen kombiniert, das sagt mir mehr zu. Denn es ist nicht sexy, an seinem Ausschnitt herum zu spielen. Ihr seht hier ein paar Bilder der letzen Jahre. 

Das erste ist von 2010. Beim Dirndl sind Vintage. Anstelle einer Schürze trage ich einen schmalen Schal von Dorothy Perkins.  Wir beide tragen Plastik Bambis als Anhänger.

Bild zwei ist von 2013, Oktoberfest in Xanten, etwas verwackelt. Ich habe ein neues Vintage Dirndl. Reine Schurwolle mit kleiner Stickerei. Kombiniert mit einer Pünktchenbluse von H & M von 2004/2005. Der Anhänger sieht älter aus als er ist. Der Fascinator ist von House of Fraser. Ein dunkelrotes Filzplatz mit Schleier. Meine beste Freundin eine neue Bluse und eine süße Lebkuchenbrosche.

Nächstes Bild ist von 2014, noch einmal Xanten. Die Freundin hat ein neues hübsches blaues Dirndl. Dadurch dass sie so klein ist, sieht das Filzhütchen nicht so verloren auf ihrem Kopf aus. Fahre wieder einmal mein lila Dirndl. Diesmal mit einem Streifen Hemd. Um den Look abzurunden trage ich ein kariertes Haarband mit violetten  Stiefmütterchen. Ich habe leider etwas zugelegt seit dem ersten Bild.

Ich habe meine Dirndl auf eBay gekauft, das Lilafarbene 2009 und das Schwarze 2012. 

Etwas anderes: wie gefallen euch die Dackelteller? Ich finde die sehr passend zu Brezeln, Weißwürsten oder deutschem Sushi (Mett-Brötchen).
