This outfit has been on my mind for a long time. I really like black and white gingham but somehow like dogtooth it doesn’t quite work for me. The dress ia another variation of LindyBop’s Audrey. I got quite a few of them. Florals, uni, checks, dots, etc. Dieses Outfit wollte ich schon seit einer Weile zeigen. Ich mag das schwarz-weisse Vichykaro sehr. aber ähnlich wie Hahnentritt finden wir nicht wirklich zueinander. Dieses Kleid ist eine weitere Variante von LindyBops Audrey. Ich habe einige davon. Mit Blumenmustern oder Punkten, in Uni, etc.
This one is made of a seersucker like material. In black and white. Paired with a cream cardi I prefer to wear as a wrap and a toile scarf I got at a plus size secondhand market. The shoes and handbag pick up the pink from the scarf. Das Kleid ist aus einer Art Seersucker. In Schwarz-Weiss. Kombiniert hier mit einer cremefarbenen Strickjacke. Getragen als Weickeljacke. Das Tuch mit dem Toile de Jouy Muster habe ich letztes Jahr beim Plussize-Flohmarkt Weiberkram XL gekauft. Die Schuhe und die Handtasche greifen das Pink des Musters auf.
I am still recovering from a tooth operation. Got a hurty cheek and I am rather worn out. The swelling recedes very slowly. So enough text. Here are the pics. Thème du mars pour les French Curves est Candy. Comme les bonbons. Je n’a pas beaucoup des choses en couleurs bonbon. J’ai vendue cette robe là. Mais j’ai trouvé quelquechose dans ma garderobe. Theme of the French Curves Fashion Challenge in March is Candy. As in Sweets. I don’t have a lot in candy colours. And I sold that dress. But I found something in my wardrobe.
Les pantoufles de Frollein von Sofa s’appellent Candy. Ils sont du velours (thème du février) rouge et ont des bonbons rose scintillant. J’adore la creativité de la Frollein. Elle fait des petits chapeaux et ils sont une veritable fête. These Mules from Frollein von Sofa are called Candy. They are made of bright red velvet (february’s theme) and got lovely sparkling pink sweets on top. Anyway I adore the creativity of the Frollein. She makes striking and adorable mini hats. They are a veritable feast.
Mais j’aime bien mes petits chapeaux. Le dernier est inspiré par la Frollein. Et je le fait pour le challenge Candy. Pas mal pour un vieux couverture d’un coussin et un morceau de cotton rose strié. I’ll stick to my fascinators. I just like to make these mini hats. The latest one is inspred by the Frollein for the Candy challenge. Not bad for an old pillow case and a bit of stripey pink cotton.
Comme j’ai déjà dit je n’a pas beaucoup des choses en couleurs bonbon. Le rose fort va très bien avec le rouge vivant. Rose dans tout ses variations et noir sont toujours une bonne idée. Le top peplum et la jupe crayon sont très formal et un joli contraste avec les mules. Like I already said before I don’t own a lot of things in candy colours. The bright pink works rather well with the vibrant red. Pink (in all of its shades)and black are always a good idea. The peplum top and the pencil skirt are quite formal and a nice contrast to the playful mules.

Also ein bisschen wir im TV – man überlegt sich was und dann, wenn es soweit ist wird es etwas anderes. Leider habe ich keine 500 Euro „Spielgeld“ in die Hand bekommen. Dafür musste ich auch nicht aufräumen und keiner inspiziert meinen Schrank – obwohl hier könnt ihr in meinen Schrank schauen. So, it’s a bit like on television – best laid plans come to naught. And you end up with something very different. Unfortunately I didn’t get 500€ to go shopping like in the show. But on the other hand I don’t have to have a spanking clean apartment and nobody will faff around in my closet. Although if you want to peek into my wardrobe you can have a look here.
Für mein Outfit kombiniere ich den bei Bloggerinnen weltweit beliebten Tüllrock mit einem Peplumtop. Darunter trage ich ein gestreiftes weisses Hemd. Schwarz, weiss und pink ist eine schöne Kombi. Und die pinke Strumpfhose, die Tartantasche und der Blumenschal sorgen für frische Farbtupfer.w For my outfit I combine and international bloggers favourite the tulle skirt with a peplum top. Both black. I wear a stripey top underneath. Black white and pink is a delightful combination. The pink tights, the tartan bag and the floral scarf add a splash of colour.
Ich habe mich sogar mal für die Show beworben.Aber anscheinend habe ich nicht ins Konzept gepasst. Am Ende war ich sogar erleichtert das ich nicht mitmachen konnte als Shopping Queen in die Stadt kam. I even one applied for the show. Somehow I wasn’t what they were looking for. In the end I was somewhat relieved when they finally came to my city without me.

Ich freue mich schon so – wie letzte Woche angekündigt findet am Samstag, den 11.Juni 2016, auf der Krefelder Rennbahn im Rahmen der Ladies Day statt. Der Ladies Day ist inspiriert von den englischen Pferderennen und somit eine großartige Gelegenheit, ein schickes Outfit in Kombination mit einem Hut oder Hütchen auszuführen. I am so excited – like I announced last week on Saturday, June 11th, 2016 isLadies Dayat the racecourse in Krefeld. Like the well known Ladies Days in the UK it is a great opportunity to dress up a little and wear a hat or fascinator.

Ich habe überlegt was mir noch zum Thema Pferderennen einfällt – und mal eine Varitation mit einem meiner Bleistiftkleider ausprobiert.
I had a go at another outfit for the horse races for me – with a pencil or wiggle dress. This would be a very nice outfit – however I picked another one.

Mit den Federn war mir das einfach zuviel – also Schnipp-Schnapp Federn ab! Der Fascinator ist von Bijou Brigitte und hat weniger als 20 Euro gekostet. There was too much going on with the feathers – so I just cut them off! The fascinator is by Bijou Brigitte and cost less than 20 Euros.
Süss – aber zum Renntag ziehe ich etwas anderes an! Cute – but I’ll wear something else on racing day!
Got those lovelies probably in 2007, from Primark. The French intern in my office in England said they are princess slippers. Sling backs always sling off my heel, but these are gorgeous dusky rose velvet shoes. Two inch/ five centimetre heel. Used to wear them with jeans, but need to match them with a dress. Not sure which one though. I guess I need a simple cream shift or skater dress for next winter made of wool or tweed.
Diese Hübschen habe ich wenn ich mich richtig erinnere 2007 gekauft, bei Primark. Unsere französische Praktikantin in meinem Büro in England fand das sind richtige Prinzessinnen-Schuhe. Sling-Backs und ich sind keine guten Freunde. Leider rutschen sie immer von meinen Fersen. Diese Schuhe sind aber einfach wunderschön, aus altrosa, glänzendem Samt mit einem fünf Zentimeter Absatz. Früher habe ich sie immer zu Jeans getragen. Aber ich will sie demnächst mal wieder mit einem Kleid tragen. Am liebsten mit einem in Creme, aus Wolle oder Tweed.
I thought about this for a while – actually once the decision was made to have my hair cut to a bob. And suddenly I really, really wanted pink hair, too – at least once. So I picked this colour – Candy Floss Pink in the shop underneath the hairdresser’s salon.

I wanted it a bit more pink – think a mix of barbie pink and cotton candy. One of my friends suggested I redye it. So I bought Flamingo Pink. Guess I should have read a few tips how to tone it down a bit. But I didn’t. Initially I wanted to meet a few people on the Christmas market – but that plan failed. So in the spur of a moment and just before preparing dinner I dyed my hair…
oooops, that looks strong!
…and then I thought, ah, that’ll wash out. It didn’t. Well not tonight. I quite like the result. It is neither subtle nor for the faint of heart. But it is very moi!
