I already spent more in the sales than I wanted but look at this beauty – and it is still available in larger sizes. Though I wear a US20 at Lane Bryant I am stuck between 2XL and 3XL at Modcloth. And taking in is usally easier than adding… So, here is one cute dress for next Christmas – half price – just keep in mind not to spend more than 150 EUR including postage – otherwise you also have to pay import charges and not just taxes!
Ich habe dieses Jahr schon mehr im Winterschlussverkauf ausgegeben als ich wollte, aber schaut euch das hier mal an. Einfach süß, das Baumkugel-Kleid! Und es ist noch in den grossen Grössen verfügbar. Und Weihnachten kommt auch nächstes Jahr weider. Bei Lane Bryant passt mir meistens eine US Grösse 20 (entspircht ca EU50 und UK22). Bei Modcloth nehme ich lieber eine 3XL, auch wenn ich zwischen 2 und 3XL in der Grössentabelle stecke. Kleiner machen ist halt leichter! Nicht vergessen, ab 150 EUR inkl. Versand kostet es zusätzlich zur Umsatzsteuer auch noch Zoll!
And this is the final dress I sooooooo want to have from Boden’s 2014 winter collection – the lovely beatrice dress. Yep, a 1950s/1960s style brocade dress – fancy, but not too fancy for a date night (or for the office Christmas party). Currently at roughly the quarter of the original price. And at that price it’ll be mine!
Dies ist das letze Kleid, dass mir sehr, sehr gut in der Winterkollektion 2014 von Boden gefallen hat – Beatrice. Yep, ein 50ger/60ger Brokatkleid – fein, aber nicht zu fein für ein Date (oder für die nächste Büro-Weihnachtsfeier). Momentan für fast ein Viertel des eigentlichen Kaufpreises zu haben und für den Preis ist es jetzt zu mir unterwegs!

When I first saw this dress in the clearance area at House of Fraser I thought – NICE pattern. Hmmm, not really a summer dress in this colouring. A few reductions later and along with a scarf for a friend the dress found its way to me. I have posted some of my Polyvore boards here before – and it is something I do frequently to make up my mind if I want an addition to my wardrobe or not.
Thought the (fake) fur collar gives it a wintery look and liked the idea on poly very much. Rich colours, silnky materials, bike friendly cut. Tuck a black shirt underneath and the (fake) fur collar with a brooch on top. Kneehigh boots, leopard clutch and a bright beret.

A bad hair day, no make-up and when I saw the pics I wasn’t happy. OMG! This outfit needed editing. Yes I saw myself before in a mirror – but sometimes we see what we ant to see. And this one was the most flattering of these shots. For my cleavage this is a no go! This is BAD, BAD, BAD.
A bit of make-up, a better hair day and the help of a friendly scarf are a vast improvement. I am still unsure if the dresses sleeves are too puffy for my liking. Love the dress as a skirt though. And this has to be worn with proper heels.

Als ich das erste mal dieses Kleid im Clearance (Räumungsecke) auf der House of Fraser webseite sah, dachte ich NETTES Muster. Ein paar Reduzierungen später und das Kleid war zusammen mit einem Schal für eine Freundin zu mir unterwegs. Ich habe hier schon mehrfach meine Polyvore Kollagen gepostet. Diese Kollagen benutze ich regelmässig zur Entscheidungsfindung ob ich meine Gaderobe erweitern soll oder nicht.
Dachte der (Kunst-) Fellkragen gibt dem ganzen einen winterlichen Look. Auf Poly gefiel mir das ausnehmend gut. Satte Farben, glattes Material, fahrradfreundlicher Schnitt. Einfach ein schwarzes Hemd oder Shirt drunter und den (Kunst-) Fellkragen obendrüber. Dazu noch kniehohe Stiefel und eine farbige Baskenmütze.
Ein Bad-Hair-Day, kein Make-Up und als ich die Bilder sah – ohhhhGottoooohGott! Dieses Outfit brauchte eine Überarbeitung. Ja, ich habe mich vorher im Spiegel gesehen – aber manchmal schaut man nicht richtig hin. Und das hier ist noch das vorteilhafteste Bild. Für meine Oberweite ist das ein no-go! Das ist SCHLECHT, SCHLECHT, SCHLECHT.Dies ist die letzte meiner Kollagen. Die ist vor Weihnachten und bevor ich wirklich Pinterest für mich entdeckt habe, entstanden. Eine Sammlung aus Bildern, die man teilen kann ist viel, viel besser – in diesem Sinne: fröhliches pinnen!

Ich überlege immer noch ob ich mir das karierte Kleid kaufen soll, allerdings habe ich das schon in uni-grau – aber es sieht halt verdammt gut aus. Mit inder Auswahl sind noch ein paar Mäntel und Jacken, wie auch ein paar weitere Kleider. Da fällt es schwer sich zu entscheiden!

Fleamarkets around here are a bit tricky in winter – but there is always Ebay to get your vintage fix. These are just brooches I found on Ebay and that I think suit a vintage style.
Flohmärkte sind zu dieser Jahreszeit etwas schwierig – aber es gibt ja immer noch Ebay. Dies hier sind nur Broschen, die ich auf Ebay entdeckt habe und von denen ich meine dass sie zu einem Vintagestil passen.

Today the more traditional NYE outfit. Little black dress and silver sparkling tights plus an appropriate amount of rhinestones. Love the necklace. The location is the still newish sushi and grill restaurant Yumini. Love the over the top decor (especially the chandeliers), the staff is friendly and I am very happy with the food. Not sure what they put into their algae salad but I can’t get enough of it! Even had two inaris, usually I don’t like them, I order them frequently, but I don’t really care about them.
Heute das traditionellere Silvester Outfit. Das kleine Schwarze mit silbern glitzernder Strumpfhose und jeder Menge Strass. Die Kette von Accessorize ist toll – die erinnert mich an die Sissi-Filme. Die habe ich als Kind geliebt! Die Location ist das relative neue Yumini, ein Sushi und Grill-Restaurant hier in Bochum. Ich mag die opulente Einrichtung (besonders die Kronleuchter), das Team ist freundlich und ich bin mit dem Essen mehr als zufrieden. Keine Ahnung was die in ihren Algensalat hineintun, aber ich bekomme davon einfach nicht genug. Gestern hatte ich sogar zwei Inaris – und normalerweise mag ich die nicht sonderlich (ich bestelle sie zwar regelmässig, aber hier sind die toll).
