The day before I went to the Curvy Fashion Fair I finally managed to visit the museum I wanted to see for a very, very long time. Till now long queues and/or busy timeschedules prevented me. But trust me this one is a classic and has spectacular exhibits even though two thirds of it are closed down for construction works (like the name giving altar). Which museum? The Pergamon.
Here you can parade through a babylonian procession street and admire the Ishtar gate. Utterly spectacular. Am usually very mixed if those exhibits really belong into European museums, but for the time being those exhibits are safe.
Bring a fan though if it’s hot since the majority of the museum isn’t air conditioned!
And If I might add my dress matches the colour scheme of those tiles pretty well!  And the palms nicely match too. Want to see more? Here is my Flickr folder.

Bevor es zur Curvy Fashion Fair ging, war ich endlich, endlich mal im  Pergamon Museum. Bis jetzt hat es an langen Schlangen und/ oder meinen Terminvorgaben gescheitert. Unbedingt zu empfehlen: Online-Ticket buchen! Das  Pergamon Museum ist ein Klassiker. Hier kann man durch eine Babylonische Prozessionsstrasse pilgern und das Ishtar-Tor bewundern. Einfach spektakulär. Ich bin immer etwas unentschlossen was meine Haltung zu solchen Ausstellungsstücken in (Mittel-) Europäischen Museen betrifft – allerdings zur Zeit kann man sagen, hier sind sie wenigstens sicher.
Sollte es heiss sein, ist ein Fächer keine schlechte Wahl – bis auf wenige Ausnahmen ist das Museum nicht klimatisiert!
Ich finde mein Outfit passt farblich gut zu den Fliesen und auch die Palmen passen hervorragend. Wollt ihr mehr sehen? Hier ist mein Flickr Ordner.

Auch heute wieder, nur Bilder. London ist einfach klasse zum einkaufen. Und das habe ich auch ausgiebig getan, nachdem ich circa 7 km durch die Stadt geradelt bin. Was nebenbei gesagt einfacher war als erwartet.

This dress was love at first sight. And like a good favourite piece it gets worn a lot. Since it is quite on the dressy side, I decided to take it down a notch. Going flat helps, especially if the shoes can stare back like my T.U.K. ballerinas. This lovely peachy rose and lightweight Modcloth cardigan is perfect for a day in office, reminds me of blushing petals and yet contributes  to make the combo more casual. That cardi so compliments the colour and the pattern of this Anna Scholz dress. 

I am glad that the trains are back and that the 9th railway strike is over. Train stations were teeming with people once more. A glorious day for my birthday. A long weekend ahead. The air is fragrant with flowers. I love this time of the year. Yep, before you ask, I don’t have hay fever. The gorgeous backdrop is the garden surrounding my new office. Blossom number one is a peony on the way to work. The second flower my mum’s tree peony and the third a close up of the rhododendron in the backdrop.

Another fabulous Shoesday – a few days ago I came across the Streetzie’s High Heel Bunny Slippers on Mrs. Murphy’s wonderful home story. They are gloriously silly and sexy bordering on kinky heels and I’d love them. You can get them in three colours: black, baby blue and pale pink.

Ein weiterer fabulöser Schuh-Tag – vor ein paar Tagen habe ich die Streetzie’s High Heel Bunny Slippers in Mrs. Murphy’s wunderbarer Home Story entdeckt.  Sie sind herrlich albern und neckisch sexy. Es gibt si ein drei Farben: Schwarz, Babyblau und Blassrosa. 

Yes, there are more exciting colours than grey. But it is a great neutral. A basic my wardrobe can’t do without. So today it’s soft grey ballet flats and brownish grey tights. The rest is more colourful. A bright royal blue scuba skater dress, that cute little lightweight tweed jacket, a stripey shirt and a pale blue dotted scarf.
