Flamingo among Pigeons

Dressing the way I do makes me stand out. I know that. Moist days I am fine with that. Actually some time ago it even flipped. When in hiking gear, and therefore invisible, I wonder what is wrong. That day I was dressed for summer, though summer took a little break. But I haven’t lived as long as I did in the UK without having learned a few tricks – such as pretending it is summer because the calendar says it is.
So, I was the flamingo, dress for summer. In happy pastels. The pigeons were the other tourists on the German island of Rügen. The one with the white cliffs. Not as high as the white cliffs of Dover, but the only ones we got in Germany. The other tourists were not only dressed for the weather but for serious outdoorsy activities. Most of them tip to toe in trekking gear. And then there was me!

Happpy on the Deck, at Beaufort 6-7. Ok, so I took the jacket just off for the shot.

No wind on the train! I just love graphic 50s inspired patterns. And Boden did two dresses that were right up my street last summer. Got this one on ebay and the one I wore in Berlin in the sale this winter.
The vintage bracelet , the pattern of the dress and the map on the little table on the train are quite a good match. Boattrip!
After we turned around I took shelter in an aftern niche. No sun there, but shielded from the wind.
The white cliffs of Rügen.  The rented bike took a break and I some pics.
Cornflowers in a field.   Me at Prora. Five years too late, as there is a lot of refurbishment going on.
Pine woods. Could as well be in Sweden or Holland. Walking off into the sunset. (Actually I took the bike and the train back to my AirBnB in Stralsund).
