The German 30plusBloggers meet again to a blog parade – today’s theme is presents you love.

When the motto was chosen I knew instantly what I wanted to show: my blue gingham handbag. It is an excellent addition to my self chosen monthly theme Maritime Fun ,I  have worn it before with my crab skirt.

My good friend Pam gave me that handbag 2016 for Christmas. A fab bag. Perfect for summer. For me checks, tartans and ginghams are neutral patterns. Bye-bye blue garage door – today the parents will hand over the keys to our old house.

Ich bin mal gespannt was uns die anderen so zeigen!
I am looking forward to what the others will show. It will be (mostly) in German though.

Maritime Fun – Sailing Away in Royal Blue

Maritime Fun returns in a clear royal blue. Both the dress and the top are trusted wardrobe staples. I wear that dress usually to the footie. The top is something I usually wear at home paired with capri jeans. Outfit No.1 is very typical for me – the second look is without the hat quite normal.

This is a corporation with Yours Clothing. I really like the style of the shirt. With the floral embroidery. A bit 70s. A bit boho. The shirt will return to my blog in September for a Dirndl look.
Yours Clothing will soon open a shop near me – I am already quite excited about that.

On the Go: Maritime Fun – Happy Seagull – mein Möwenshirt

Maritime fun returns with this happy seagull. The shirt became quickly popular with one of my favourite plussize (Facebook) groups. I bought it in a smaller size and had it cropped.
I prefer the version with the stripey shorts. But I wear it more often with the capri jeans – either as shown or in dark blue denim.

Maritime Fun – Holy Crab

Welcome to part two of Maritime Fun. I bought this crab skirt in the boxing day sale. After ogling it for a long while. It is a fun and uncomplicated thing. From picnics and BBQs, shopping or trips on or off shore.

I got the crab brooch a few years ago. The life-ring set is new. I had to extend the dainty necklace. Check amazon or ebay if you could need that, too.

Maritime Fun: Casual Friday

Ahoy July – welcome to a month of looks inspired by the sea and shore, sailors and landlubbers alike. Something for the beach, the boat, a day around the harbour or just to sooth the longing for the coast or open waters.

Summer and maritime looks go hand in hand and each year we see the revival of a theme that never really dies. In my office more or less every day is Casual Friday. Actually that is the case in most offices in landscape architecture.

I have shown this dress before for an alpine style – and it is quite versatile with its red and white houndstooth pattern. The pale blue blouse, bag and ballerinas push toward a maritime colouring. It is a variation of my crispy seaside look.

The accessories make the look really keel over: earrings with tiny boats, the stripey anchor necklace, new and old brooches and the true vintage scarf from the 60s or 70s with the sleek sailboats (and seagulls) as well as the (mock?) coral bracelet.
Koralle.
